Project questions

Wooden entry door repair questions

Common questions when a wood entrance is damaged during a break-in.

Can a wooden entry door be repaired after a break-in?

Often, yes. Repair depends on the extent of the damage and whether the remaining door, frame and hardware are suitable to retain.

Does the entire door always need replacement?

No. When damage is concentrated along an edge, lock area or frame section, the repair may focus on that damaged part instead of replacing the complete entrance.

What photos should I send?

Send the full door, the damaged edge, the frame, and close views of the lock and strike area.

Need door repair?

Send details about the damaged wooden entry door.
