When to call for broken window help

Call when the window glass is cracked, shattered, smashed or missing and the opening cannot stay exposed. This includes fixed home windows, condo windows, storefront windows and office glass.

What we do on arrival

We assess the opening, control loose glass where needed, protect the exposed area and install a temporary cover or board-up when the window cannot be repaired immediately.

Temporary cover vs. board-up

Some openings need a protective cover. Larger exposed windows, public-facing glass or damaged commercial openings may need board-up. The goal is the same: close the opening, protect the property, measure the opening and prepare the correct window glass replacement.

Window glass repair after securing

After the emergency is under control, the next step can be window glass replacement, insulated glass replacement, storefront window repair or another permanent glass solution.

  • Broken window temporarily covered
  • Smashed window secured
  • Fixed residential and commercial window glass protected
  • Residential and commercial windows

What affects the window repair cost

Glass type and size, insulated-unit configuration, frame condition, floor access and temporary protection affect the quote. Photos identify the immediate risk; final glass replacement may still require measurements. We provide the total price before work begins, and no additional charge is added without customer approval.

If the window was damaged suddenly

After a break-in, vandalism, storm or impact, photograph the full opening and the close-up damage before cleanup, when safe. A failed seal, fogging between panes or gradual frame deterioration is generally maintenance rather than a sudden loss. Your insurer determines coverage.

Before and after

Broken windows secured before final repair

The priority is a closed, protected opening. After the property is secured, the correct window or glass repair can be completed or scheduled.
