Temporary board-up was installed over the damaged centre section so the house window could stay protected until the replacement glass was ready.

The cracked glass unit had to be secured first and then replaced.
When a large house window glass unit cracks, the opening may need temporary protection before the final replacement can be installed. This project shows the emergency board-up, the preparation for the new insulated glass unit and the finished window after installation.

The final result
The new insulated glass unit was installed in the existing window frame. The house window was restored and the opening was fully closed again.
